Digital Skills For Africa is a Google initiative in conjunction with various training partners, which aims to train young people in digital skills. Google announced in 2017 that it had trained one million people towards the goal of helping close the digital knowledge gap in Africa, improve employability and job creation. The company subsequently committed to provide another 10 million people with free digital skills training for the jobs of the future over the next five years. The Google Digital Skills team is executing on this commitment.
